Using a GPT to Add a New Influencer Marketing Offer

You already have the brief: a paragraph from the product manager, a Notion page, an email. A custom GPT can turn it into a Vereel offer, with the name, the description, the platforms and the compensation, and send it for review, so you spend your time checking the result instead of filling in a form. This is how to set it up, and what to keep in your own hands.

What the GPT does, and what it does not

The GPT reads your brief, asks for anything missing, picks the right category, writes the offer in the API's format and sends it. The offer then waits for review like any other, and you can edit it in Vereel while it waits. The GPT cannot publish, delete or pay for anything: the API does not allow it.

It cannot upload a file either. A GPT can only pass an image as a link, so the photo must already sit on a public https address.

Before you start

You need three things:

  • A Vereel brand account, and a read-and-write token from Settings › API tokens (name it after the GPT).
  • A ChatGPT account that can create custom GPTs with actions.
  • The address of the API definition: https://www.vereel.com/api/v1/public/openapi.yaml

Set up the action

In the GPT editor, work through these in order:

  • Open Configure and choose Create new action.
  • Choose Import from URL and enter the address of the definition. The operations appear, among them listCategories, createOffer and attachImage.
  • Under Authentication choose API Key, set Auth Type to Bearer and paste the token.
  • Save. If the editor looks different from this description, look for the same three things: import the schema, choose key authentication, use the Bearer type.

Write instructions that produce good offers

A GPT does what its instructions say, so be specific. Tell it to:

  • Ask for what the offer needs before it sends anything: name, description, platforms, what the creator receives and how the creator is paid.
  • Call listCategories and choose from the real list, never guess a category id.
  • Show you the finished offer and wait for your “yes”.
  • Pass photo links in imageUrls, and say so when there is no photo yet.
  • Report the status the API returns and remind you that the offer is waiting for review.
You help a brand add influencer-marketing offers to Vereel.
1. From the brief the user gives you, work out the offer. Ask for anything missing:
name, description, offer type, platforms, what the creator receives, payment or barter.
2. Call listCategories and choose up to three categories from the result.
3. Show the finished offer as a short summary and ask for confirmation.
4. After a yes, call createOffer. Pass photo links in imageUrls.
5. Tell the user the offer's status, and that Vereel reviews it before it goes live.

Try it

Paste a short brief, for example: “Spring launch of our vitamin C serum. We pay 800 PLN plus the product, one Reel and two Stories on Instagram, applications open for three weeks.” The GPT should ask which category fits, show you the offer and send it once you agree.

Then open your campaigns in Vereel: the offer is there with the status “Awaiting review”, and you can edit it while it waits.

Keep it safe

The token is stored in the GPT's settings, so anyone who can use the GPT can send offers for your brand. Keep the GPT private, give the token only the access it needs, set a short expiry, and revoke it in Settings › API tokens when you stop using it.

Treat what the GPT sends like anything else it writes: you are responsible for what is in the offer, and Vereel reviews it before it is public.

A GPT saves the typing, not the judgement: you still decide what goes out, and Vereel still looks at it before creators see it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to code?
No. The GPT editor imports the definition for you and the token goes into one field. You write the instructions in plain language.
Can the GPT publish the offer?
No. The API cannot publish. Every offer is created for review and goes live only after Vereel approves it.
Why can't the GPT upload my photo?
A GPT can only pass a link. Put the photo on a public https address, or add it in Vereel while the offer is waiting for review.
What if I share my GPT with others?
Anyone who can use it can send offers for your brand. Do not share a GPT that holds your token.
