Does Barter Create a Tax Obligation for Creators in Poland?

A product-for-content deal is not automatically tax-free. In Poland, products or services received for publishing content can create taxable income; the documentation and settlement route matter.

A barter deal is an exchange

A brand provides a product or service and the creator provides agreed content. Treat the arrangement as an exchange of services, with a written scope and value.

Document the market value

Record what is supplied, its gross market value, the deliverables and the date. Keep the agreement, messages and proof of delivery.

Settlement depends on your route

The applicable settlement differs between unregistered activity, a registered business and a contract with a company. Consult an accountant for your specific facts, especially for VAT or cross-border work.
